Rainbow Banana Ice Cream

Kids love ice cream. There’s no doubt about that. However, have you ever realized that sometimes kids get bored, too, when you serve them the same old ice cream you usually serve during their parties? Every swimming party, birthday celebration and movie nights, you serve them the same old flavors like chocolate, rocky road, mango and cheese. What’s worse, you just scoop them on boring glasses that make the ice cream experience even less exciting. So, what are you going to do? Are you just going to stick with your ice cream flavors?

Why don’t you do some research on the Internet about new and exciting twists for your kids’ ice cream experience? There are many ways to make ice cream a little more different, like experimenting on flavors and colors. Toppings can entice kids, too! Instead of the usual sprinkles, why not serve them with colorful fruits to encourage them to eat healthy? The kids will surely love it!

Here’s one twist you can try at home. It’s called Rainbow Ice Cream, where all you need is 15 minutes to prepare:

Ingredients

5 pcs Bananas (frozen)

1 cup Strawberries (frozen)

1 cup Mango (frozen)

1 cup Pineapple (frozen)

1 handful Spinach (raw)

Your choice of toppings: sliced fruits/whipped cream/chocolate syrup/marsh mallows/sprinkles

Instructions

1. Measure all your ingredients. Spread them on a cutting board.

2. Blend your frozen banana and your strawberries together in your food processor. Pour the creamy mixture into a bowl once smooth.

3. Blend the other fruits just exactly how you blended your banana and strawberry to achieve the different colors.

4. To make it even more exciting, scoop each of the colored ice cream and put into a glass to achieve a layer of different colors like the rainbow. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the freezer before serving.

5. When ready to serve, add toppings of your choice.

The kids will not only love their frozen ice cream! They will also love the different layers of colors! These are ice cream recipes that you can play with, without having to spend so much.
