Attracting new customers by allowing them to test and keep their products by participating in free trials actually worked better than spending thousands on TV commercials or magazine ads.
Which Offers to Choose From
The awesome thing is, there are many different trial offers to choose from and many of them are pretty cool. My favorite are the low interest credit card offers – I get to use these cards to buy things I would normally buy anyway and also get free airline mileage points. I even got rid of my high interest credit cards too. For me it was a win / win /win situation!
Now if you don’t like credit card offers, then I’m sure you’ll find many other products you’ll like to try for free. You can also find offers on many things you’re already buying like movies or video games or even weight-loss products if that’s what you’re into. Crochet Beenie (Free Pattern)
Does your little oneses heads get cold in the fall and winter? Does your head? Maybe you don’t have a crochet beenie to wear. And if you’re going to wear one, why not have it be one you made yourself? You can give them as gifts. And they’re interesting crafting projects. You can learn how to scale your pattern by head size as you work on things like crochet beenies. Note: may also work as a tea cozy.
Are these cute? What color do you think looks good? You could use up some odd ball yarn making these. Crocheters say it’s easy to crochet these, too. One even said she made preemie ones for her hospital. The crochet patterns are from newborn head size up to adult size 7 head size.
The free pattern comes to us by way of Mango Tree Crafts. It uses a 5 millimeter hook (H) and the ones in the picture used just Caron Simly Soft Acrylic yarn. Any weight of worsted should work, according to Mango Tree Crafts.
It uses several stiches, though. Single crochet, slip stich, cluster stich, and yarn over. Click here for the pattern.
Crochet Cat Bed (Free Pattern)
This curious cat bed creation is the crochet work of Eilen Tein. How would YOUR cat react to being put in this crafty crochet project? Some of these photos were posted by Dapper Toad, who used the pattern when she finally got a cat — she’d been waiting to use it, she said.
Dapper Toad’s cat is named “Muffin,” so she calls her crochet cat bed a cat oven.
She used one and a half skeins of Wool Ease Thik n Quick to crochet this cat bed.
What color would you use? Can you think of any other uses for a cat bed pattern?
For Dapper Toad, the crochet project took her 4 hours, which she said was, “no time, really.”
She said her cat Muffin really likes it.
She made an off-white cat bed. The original by Mrs. Tein was a light pink on. She sewed it while her cat was in it. When it’s half complete, it looks just like a lot of cat beds. Then it turns into something like an igloo.

Cozy Crocheted Slipper Boots (Free Pattern)
In wintertime or even in fall when the wind starts to get frosty and crisp, one of the pleasures is pulling on a crisp, clean pair of cozy knitted or crochet slippers from the closet or drawer. The great thing about slippers is you can wash them just like socks, and you can have several pairs, and you can make them yourself, and you can get them as gifts from friends, and you can… wait, was that just ONE great thing? Bottom line: people enjoy crocheted slippers.
This pair of slippers is a free pattern from SMPCraft. One of their crafters Sarah Goldstein created this pattern as a crochet pattern. She found the pattern herself in one of her old books on her bookshelf on crocheting. The book was called “Simple Crocheting” and it has a bunch of patterns.
Here’s the free crochet pattern: It’s on the SMP website. We have a backup version saved as well, but why not get it from the crafting, crocheting lady herself?
This crafting pattern is rated level 9 for difficulty — that’s pretty difficult. But the project should also, according to the book, help crocheters learn to “decrease working a simple single crochet and increase designing to fit your shoe size.”
It’s a single-crochet stitch pattern, and uses 10 sts and 14 rows to 4 inch (10 centimeters) measured over a single crochet using a K-10 1/2 (7 millimeter) hook.

How to Remove Avast from Startup
Giving up on the dozens of “support” forums where you asked, “How do I remove Avast from startup?” Everyone just answering, I don’t advise this, leading to an endless discussion of exactly what specifics your computer has?
Disabling Avast and AVG from your start menu is not difficult. Here’s how to remove antivirus from your startup:
(Is there any point in me saying, “This is not recommended”? I think you are aware of that. For you, like one of my ultra slow little laptops, it isn’t a choice of when to run anti-virus. The thing is, it’s so slow you have to either not have antivirus installed at all or have it but not automatically running:
Click “ctrl+alt+delete.” Select “Task Manager.” Select “Startup.” Right click the programs you don’t want to launch when you start up your computer. Click “Disable.”
You are done. There are always answers to these kinds of questions online, like you can find out how to change your ip address in a few simple steps so easily.
Name That Canadian Dog!
Can you correctly identify all six of these Canadian breeds? Match the numbers to the correct descriptions. Here are some hints:
__A__ Native to Nova Scotia, these duck dogs have made excellent companions for hunters. They enjoy playing in the water but are hardworking when it comes time to hunt waterfowl. Active families who enjoy playing ball and Frisbee, as well as enjoying long walks, are perfect homes for these loyal animals.
__B__ Unfortunately this breed is extinct. They were excellent swimmers and were very popular with our fishermen on the East Coast of Canada. It is sometimes referred to as the lesser Newfoundlander. Its ‘tuxedo’ markings are distinctive to the breed and can be seen in many Labs.
__C__ Considered to be guard dogs, these large animals are working dogs with a history of search and rescue. They possess an excellent temperament and are good babysitters for families with children. They also have a history of assisting fishermen with their nets.
__D__These web footed dogs are very strong and large in size. Their fur is water-resistant with an oily and dense undercoat for warmth in our cold Eastern climates. They rarely bark and make excellent additions to any family, as they are loyal, gentle, and social pets.
__E__ This dog is sometimes referred to as the popular American breed choice. They are excellent companions for hunters with a history of working with the fishermen. Many people enter into shows with these beautiful dogs. They are also found working with people in need of assistance.
__F__ A hardworking sled dog who can tolerate the cold climates within our Canadian borders. Nunavut has adopted this dog as its provincial animal symbol. The Inuit refer to this dog as ‘Qimmiq’. These loveable pups are best in adult households, and they do not fare well in warmer climates.
