Fifth wheels trailer enthusiasts, there are those of us out there who are just happy to get out in the outdoors with our regular trailer … and it has no slide outs. And for lots of us, 2 or 3 slides sounds like a lot. Four definitely seems like a lot I think. But how about a fifth wheel trailer with 5 slide outs!
That’s what these Keystone Montana’s have. Three slide outs on the “driver’s side” and two on the “passenger side” where the door is. The model is called the Keystone Montana 3750FL. It’s a 38.8 foot trailer.

And for those of you wondering (probably guessing from the way the picture above looks), yes, this is a “front living” 5th wheel trailer.
These RVs come with luxury interiors that have a fireplace, multiple TV units, a in-bedroom as well as one outside. The closets use natural wood — in the case of this one here, they’re cedar lined. So the storage situation should be fairly decent with one of these 5th wheel trailers.
Also, in the living ara there is a sofa that can be transformed into another bed — an air bed.
The kitchen in these RVs has all a person would require for cooking: a double-sided fridge / freezer, an oven, a stove, a convection microwave oven. There’s also a computer desk in this fifth wheel so you can have something like a work station.
It also has a bathroom, ceiling fan, washer/dryer connections, day/night shades for the windows, a dish for satellite reception, a central vac for cleaning use, an inverter, two ceiling vents with rain guards.
On the exterior of this RV fifth wheel, there’s a rear ladder, an outside shower, as well as the awnings for the patio. The one we looked at was a 2013 fifth wheel, and although it had less than 100 miles on the odometer, they were asking just under $62,000 for the trailer. Classic Cabover
Here’s a classic cabover that came up on the trucks for sale lists recently and caught our attention. It’s a 79 Peterbilt with a small cam Cummins 350 horsepower engine and a 13-speed.
It’s a 352. At the time — 1979 — tilt cabs had only been around for 20 years. Now they seem like they’ve been around for practically ever. But they actually came in for Peterbilt in 1959 and replaced the earlier “Panoramic Safe-T Cab.”

It’s now a 35-year-old classic tractor trailer, but it sounds like its been kept up: it had custom power steering (not assist), new rod and main bearing, new basepan, rebuilt fan clutch, new front wheel bearing, new air conditioning system (hoses, compressor, dryer, lines, etc.), custom audio system DVD, DVD navigation, all new speakers and wiring, 8 inch dynaflex pipes twin air brathers, stainless steel deckplate, fenders, lite bar, all LED lights, also has 1 stage wetline for dump trailer with a custom inframe oil tank. This is a working old school cool truck.
They were asking $50,000 for this truck, and they later updated their truck for sale page to say it had been sold.
Finalists For the Pride and Polish Championship
Overdrive is having their Pride and Polish competition again this year of course, and they’ve announced their 25 top qualifyer custom semi trucks.
Their picks: red new truck is Joel Dawes, 2014 Kenworth T660; Blue with black stripes is Eric Turner, 2015 Peterbilt 389; Black with red stripes: Tom Davis/Davis Bros. Trucking, 1999 Kenworth W900; White and blue with green stripes: Brian Davis/Davis Bros. Trucking, 2014 Peterbilt 389 (Yep, two Davis Bros trucks there); blue with puzzle pieces (Autism awareness message): Michael Manual, 2015 Peterbilt 389; white and black with the open hood: Jonathan Eilen, 1990 Peterbilt 379.
What do you think of the trucks they picked? In August, they’re going to pick from these 25 the 6 winners for the year. Those’ll be the champions for they year, and they’re going to do a truck show for the final judging in Dallas.

According to people who deal with travel trailers every day, this travel trailer is unique and could be ideal for parking at a lake spot or somewhere an RVer wants to stay long term. It also has a lot of other features most trailers don’t have.
It’s a wide-bodied travel trailer. This is a wide-bodied trailer — 100 inches wide. Most travel trailers are only 8 feet wide. It is also very tall for a trailer.
It’s basically a backwards fifth wheel. You tow it on the bumper instead of on a gooseneck like in your truck bed. There’s two slides in the living room, and the bedroom also has a slide. Also, the body is fully-enclosed and the underbelly is fully insulated. All the open ranges are 0 and 100 degree tested. It’s called a Journeyer 340FLR Patio Deck Travel Trailer, by Open Range RV.
For RVers who like to go offroad with their fifth wheels, this trailer has giant fifth wheel tires. Those large tires will keep them from overheating like some smaller trailer tires can do.
The trailer is designed to operate on 4 20 pound propane tanks — a lighter, easier to use tank than a lot of trailers use.
The whole exterior is laminated. There’s a backup camera option. There’s an easy-to-access full spare tire in the back side compartment. It has large awnings. Like in the photo above.
And the interior uses very strong lights, that even make a difference in daylight. It has a rolling storage island (like the island in some people’s kitchens). All the cabinetry has hidden hinges.
And those slide outs. Because the travel trailer has that high ceiling, it also has slide outs that are “walk-in slide outs.” You can stand up in the slide outs of this RV trailer.
It’s also considered to have a lot of very high quality features. And there’s some innovation involved, too. The baggage doors around the outside, some of them swing downward because its easier to get in to them that way to store equipment. This unit was recently for sale on Haylett RV. How many people out there, whether you’re interested in prefab houses or you’re part of the tiny house society movement, have thought about ever taking a cruise (is that the right word) in a houseboat?
A designer named Marjin Beije might have an option for tiny house shoppers who have access to a plot of water, and who like the idea of being surrounded by water all the time — a tiny houseboat.
Yes, it’s a floating tiny home big enough for two rooms and a deck between the two. One side is an interesting bathroom construction, walled by thin wooden slats and leaving only a counter/sink and faucet for washing, as well as the enclosed toilet.
There’s windows on this bathroom area as well as the sleeping area.
One thing that might not make everyone happy to hear. For the sake of simplicity, everything from the sinks and elsewhere just drains down, although I guess you could rig something up like other tiny homes and prefab modular houses have for waste removal.
