How To Make Lip Gloss

How To Make Your Own Lip Gloss

Are you tired of re-applying your lip gloss every 15 minutes or so? Long lasting moisturized lips is what commercial lip glosses promise us but after trying different balms, we just ended up re-applying a few times a day. Hence, to ensure that you are using a quality lip gloss, why not experiment on your own? Nothing is as heart-fulfilling as making a home-produced product that you thought can only be done by experts.

You can purchase the materials from spa suppliers. Buy small bottles for your first experiments and later when you are already expert, you must buy in bulk to get discounted prices.

-an ounce of candelilla or soy wax

-2 ounces of almond or hemp seed oil

-Vitamin E oil

-8 drops of your desired essential oil (citrus or mint is preferred for lip gloss)

Procedure:

1.Fill the bottom pan of the double broiler with water; just about half way will work fine. Bring to a boil. Make sure the heat is of medium to high level.

2.Put the candelilla or soy wax and coconut oil into the top pan of the broiler and place the pan over the boiling water.

3.Continuously stir the wax and coconut oil until they completely melt.

4.Add the almond or hemp seed oil and vitamin E oil.

5.Then add the essential oil.

6.Mix them well.

7.Remove from the heat and let it cool a little. (but don’t cool it for so long as it will solidify fast)

8.Pour the mixture into lip gloss containers or tubes.

Viola! You have now a lip gloss that will bring shimmer to your lips! You can also put labels on your tubes and mark the flavor that you have chosen. Use green colored stickers for mint flavor and orange colored stickers for citrus flavor.

Sounds easy and simple, right? So why not make this a small business of yours? Tell to your friends and guarantee them of the quality of this natural lip gloss that is home-produced and done with love!
