Just one of these is enough. One can of Red Bull (or similar energy drink) can boost your chances of heart attack or stroke. This isn’t just for older people, either. Even young people can be effected.
Why? Blood should be pretty viscous. But Red Bull makes your blood unusually sticky. This is due to the caffeine in it (so it applies to all high-caffeine drinks).
Some countries have already banned the energy drink. Uruguay, Denmark and Norway have ruled that Red Bull is a health risk and cannot be sold.
Of the Earth’s 192 countries (not counting Tibet, which is ruled by and counted as part of China), around three and a half million cans of the brand drink were sold in 143 countries in a year. Pretty global reach for the product.
It does provide a boost of energy. Although after that boost wears off you may begin to feel lethargic and crave another boost.
Is it safe?
There isn’t conclusive evidence.
Part of Red Bull is caffeine. So you can compare that to coffee, which is often reported as healthy in certain dosages.
But that’s not all. Red Bull has some OTHER chemicals that we know less about, like aspertame. Plus it has a lot of sugar, which is one of the most unhealthy things people are consuming.
Also, and you may not know this, don;t drink energy drinks when you’re pregnant or lactating (spread the word on that). Don’t drink it if you have issues/condition regarding anxiety or high stress. Its not good for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It’s not good if you have high Blood Pressure or risk of cardiovascular issues, or if you have any blood clotting issues.
