Also during hot conditions, it is not advisable to do lawn mowing as it will bring stress on your grasses. Hence, observe the weather and try mowing in the morning or early evening when it’s a little bit cool.

Tips for Grass Cutting to Keep Grasses Healthy and Nice
Whenever you mow, keep changing the direction. Grasses will start to lean on your direction. When you use the same pattern the grasses will lean towards that, but by changing it, the grasses will have straight growth and it will make the lawn great and nicer.

Another tip is to just let the clippings hang around your lawn even though it does not look neat. This will return the essential nutrients and nitrogen that will make your grasses healthier.

Dull Blades Checkup
Make sure you are using sharp blades as dull blades will make shabby cuts that may damage the grass. Also, the grasses will turn unhealthy and this will draw more pests and diseases. So always use sharp blades.

In areas that are shaded like those that are under tall trees, it is better to cut the grasses higher. Grasses around these parts is susceptible in turning very thin as it will be conflicting with some roots for nutrients and water.

For the length of the grasses, make sure that they are not shorter more than one third of its height as too shortened grasses on a repetitive basis will cause an unpleasant brown lawn. Also, tenacious weeds will develop and your nice-looking green lawn will then be covered with wild weeds.

Hence, remember to keep your grasses at the height suggested for your grass type. Newly planted ones must grow for around three to four weeks before starting to mow it for the first time because when they are stepped down by people, there is a tendency that they will be damaged.
