Not much is known about this custom Harley. The photos were made available by Riding Mode, but no text at all! Only that it’s based on Based On the Koenigsegg AGERA-R by No Limit Custom NLC.
How about a brief history less, compliments of Classic Harley Davidson.
In 1909, Bill Harley started on the first 1000cc V-Twin. Producing a modest 7 horsepower; the 45-degree V-Twin would become one of the most iconic symbols of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The V-Twin stayed with Harley for a long time, and although its one of the most recognizable images of Harley-Davidson motorcycles; it wasn’t actually invented by Bill Harley.. he was just following everyone else, at the time, V-Twin motors were the tendency.
Ronin 47
Ronin Motor Works have named this the 47 — after the number that the custom motorbike company will release in a limited run.
And 47 Ronin is the number of masterless samurai — a difficult situation for a samurai and called “ronin” — in a highly popular historical Japanese story. In general, samurai were expected to die with their master, but these 47 decided to live on to avenge him. It is still quite controversial of a decision.
Each motorbike is named after one of the 47 Ronin who died in the revenge assault on the residence of another clan.
These customized Buell motorcycles will be sold for $38,000 in dollars US each. The Ronin 47 is the same price as a Harley CVO Limited tourer.

These bikes are mostly aluminum, with carbon fiber airbox covers and fenders, and sheet metal parts. Rotax engine is now cooled by a high-flow radiator, and the Showa forks have been replaced by an alloy linkage that gives the bike a menacing, hunched-forward look.

Following The Rules In Sports
Throughout the history of sports there has been a fair share of controversial events when players, coaches or teams have attempted to either bend the rules or flat out break them. We can date all the way back to 1919 when the Chicago White Sox threw the World Series against the Cincinnati Reds because some players on the team were willing to take bribes which were better payments than what they were originally getting. This scandal is often referred to as the “Black Sox Scandal”. We can date not too far back to 1989 when Pete Rose, also known as “Charlie Hustle”, was officially banned from baseball for betting on the game. From time to time we hear about pitchers doctoring baseballs, making spitballs or scuffing the baseballs to make them break differently as they pitch them toward home plate.
In the past decade there was a huge crusade by MLB to put a stop to the Steroid Era where many players were caught cheating by taking performance enhancing drugs. Most of the 2000’s were pretty much consumed with news on what was happening with players and the suspicions that generated about them being on the juice. MLB was indeed pressured by the United States congress to start such a crusade, which effectively highlighted the idea that MLB knew what was going on with steroid abuse but leadership (Bud Selig) turned a blind eye to it.
Needless to say, the sport of baseball is no stranger to scandals and events that are out of the ordinary, so perhaps we shouldn’t be too surprised when we look at the most recent developments regarding baseball on different levels. First up, in the independent Frontier League, a league that I had the pleasure of covering as a blog correspondent for over 3 years in the 2000’s, the Evansville Otters are the subject of controversy involving an integral rule that they have been caught breaking. Pitcher Will Oliver’s age has come into question, and this is because of a long-standing rule that the FL has had in place where no player can exceed the age limit of 27 prior to January 1 of a regular season. The problem? Oliver turned 28 on July 4, 2015. The Otters have apparently covered up his real age by listing him as 27 (7/4/1988), but in reality Oliver’s date of birth is July 4, 1987. Oliver is also listed as being born on July 4, 1990 on Pointstreak.
However, even though Oliver himself has moved on to another independent league, the Frontier League hasn’t done anything to address this issue, and some who are close to this situation are speculating that the FL is attempting to sweep this issue under the rug, so to speak. Knowing all of these details, more attention should be paid to this issue and one would hope that FL leadership will do something to the Otters to right this wrong.
Another story comes from the sport of softball where a Little League softball team from Washington allegedly threw a game to prevent a team from Iowa from advancing to the next round of the Little League Softball tournament. The manager of the Washington team purposely rested 4 of the team’s everyday starting players in the game that they supposedly threw, and it was hard for anyone to not notice this. The Little League governing body quickly picked up this information and decided to do something about it. They ended up pitting a play-in game between the Washington team and the Iowa team to determine who would advance to the next round of the tournament.
There are unfortunate wrinkles that come with this decision. For starters, the Washington team had already beaten the Iowa team earlier in pool play, essentially doing their jobs of directly beating whom they needed to beat. Secondly, the way that the Little League governing body has managed the pool play format of determining who advances in the tournament has come under question by many observers, with most observers pointing out that there are big enough gaps that allow what Washington ultimately did to easily occur.
It’s never good when sports fans have to hear of such controversies because in this day and age we are supposed to have firmly structured leagues that are obligated to protect and preserve the integrity of their respective sports. In comparison, the National Football League has had to deal with multiple scandals such as Spygate, Bountygate, and Deflategate, and we can see how controversies like these negatively effect a fan’s perspective on how the NFL is governed. Rules are not meant to be broken. Rules are supposed to mean something to a sport. Rules are supposed to signal to players, coaches, owners and commissioners that there are certain lines that you just don’t cross no matter what the reasoning. A rule that is rarely ever followed by members of a sport really isn’t a rule to begin with.

Would You Live In A Silo House Like This?
Yes, silos have been turned into houses. This one is in the Midwest of the States — in Utah.
It’s called the Monte-Silo house. From a distance, you might think it’s still a grain silo.
But the inside has some very unusual features, just like the house itself.
Take the beds, for example. They sit inside little windows in the walls (and the windows are just like those from MWT Windows which makes it even better!) — little bed nooks, just like the small cubicles in Japan’s famed cubicle-hotels.
They have curtains for privacy… but not walls!
There has been talk in architectural and anthropological circles about how many older cultures built round structures. We have a lot of remnants of the round buildings of England’s pre-Roman Brits, tents, igloos, adobe and brick structures across the Americas, round huts in South America, yurts on the Asian steppes, and a lot of others.
The vibe is said to be quite different in around structure. No corners for the energy to stop, some say. Just round, like the earth itself.
Do you think there’s any differences?
I can think of one, from a construction standpoint. The difficulty in building everything custom to fit the arc of the round interior! That is no small task, I’m sure. As you can see in this silo house, they use angles, fitting the square materials available to the rounded arc.
This particular house, though, is supposed to be cool in summer, warm in winter. I didn’t expect that from a metal home. You always hear about storage bin homes that they are hot in summer.
Part of this one is that it has a southern exposure that adds daylight light and provides solar heat.
But to stay warm in winter, this silo house also has an electric mesh on the floor — in-floor heating! If that isn’t enough to keep yourself warm throughout the cold winter months, looking into the central air conditioning price shouldn’t be too much of an issue!
Silos Turned Into Solar Homes, A New Plan In Sustainability?
Go local and you will have a better chance of sustainability than buing bulk from a mass-production warehouse somewhere, or so the odds go. What about old grain silos, which you can find everywhere unused and just falling apart in some cases.
Yes, they can, say a group of students, although the students didn’t actually use a real silo for their construction. They used custom-made cylinders. But the stretch isn’t far to see that real silos could be used instead of cylindars that are just like silos.
In this case, Cornell University students cut an old empty silo into three and used that as the basis of a solar house. The square lifted solar panels have an architectural function — offsetting the round circles of the silos — as well as the functional function of producing energy for the silo-dwellers.
Each silo is a room, more or less. One is a living room/courtyard. This courtyard connects to the other two silos, which are a kitchen and a bedroom.
However, although it seems there is no reason sustainability-practicioners couldn’t actually do this with a silo, there is a question of silo material interchangeability. Are all silos in that region going to be the same size? or will custom replicable parts be necessary?
