This tractor with its huge sleeper unit was sent to us by its driver, a member of the Plains, Trains page, Jim Bunch, who drives it with his wife Donna. It’s owned by Robert and Amy Smith. A nice looking machine and that is one big sleeper unit on it! Wait till you see the inside and what custom work Jim’s done to it.
“My wife and drive this nice 2013 KW T800,” Jim told us. “It’s 349 inch wheel base with a very custom 190 inch ARI sleeper.”
Jim told us some of the specs of this big truck:
“The truck is a 2014 Kenworth T800. It’s powered by a Cummins 550 with an 18 speed auto shift and 355 rears. It’s a factory stretch at 349 wheel base.”
And about that big sleeper and its interior:
“The sleeper is a 190 inch ARI Custom Legacy. The interior has all ceramic tile floors, from the cab through the sleeper. The sleeper is a true home away from home.
“It has roving satellite tv, 2 burner stove, microwave / convection oven, refrigerator / freezer combo, fire place, central heat and A/C, ceiling fan and mirrored ceiling. And of course shower and toilet combo. We pull a 48 foot step deck all over the country.”
Wait a minute … Did you say “fire place?”
