This Texas Rolls Royce motor home, already a hand-build machine, was custom modified by retired truck driver Leroy Keens.

This motor home has been customized with an awning as long as the vehicle and a slide out, and they also added two seats behind the drivers seats in the cab, and there is a door between the camper and the cab to climb through, according to the son of Leroy, Marmon enthusiast Ray Keens.

The custom motor home conversion was done without spending as much money as some think. His dad used old parts and pieces they had already, which helped cut down on the cost, in part.

The custom build took about 2 years, Ray said, and the idea for the motorhome came from a bus Ray made out of Lego when he was a kid, which had stacks out the back.

He also said that they don’t need a CDL for driving the motorhome either, because its registered as such — a motorhome.

They can tow a lot — a car or any vehicle behind the motorhome on a lift it has.

And for those wondering about the engine, its right behind the grill thats at the front of the truck (not moved to the back like is done in a few rare cases of motorhome conversions). It has an older Cummins engine.

And since building it, they added another rear in front of the old one so its now a twin screw drive, and doesn’t rock when they enter a parking lot, but rides more like a tour bus.
