Here the owners of this Peterbilt tractor converted their unit into a custom motorhome. There’s the custom motor home part, and there’s the custom car hauler as well. So these owners are taking their ar (probably a car to fit in that hauler) with them on the road and driving around.
It’s interesting to have a self contained RV unit like that. The idea of having everything being able to be pulled along at once. The car isn’t separate, the garage isn’t separate. It’s all hooked up to the motor home, which includes an engine and wheels.
These two parts have matching paint on this custom rig.
The chassis is a 1967 Peterbilt — already it has that classic element to it — and it’s powered by Cummins NTC350 / 400 motor. It was upgraded to 400 horsepower. It also has a RTO 125-13 Road Ranger gearbox.
This unit has a custom interior as well, although we don’t get to see it (just the steering wheel). It came up for sale a while back and the owner described it at least. I think it came up on the Hemmings RVs for sale section. You can visit them here (click here).
Motorhome interior:
– custom cabinets (dark oak)
– wall safe (attached)
– microwave, fridge with gas/electric power
– tile floors and carpeted floors
– custom drapery
– custom bedding and cushions
– combo bath / shower
For motorhome amenities, it has a Kabota 7500 watt generator and roof mounted ACs. Dual propane furnaces, a 140 gal water tank,
The total length of this motor home I’m not sure about. The trailer itself is 25 feet long.
