Do any of you remember the 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus?
It may be a bit early for a lot of you… like it was for me. But it was an amazing vehicles.
Well a little while ago, a man decided that it was not good enough, and so he would upgrade… and so he did.
He made it into a bedroom. Yes, a bedroom with complete room sets so I hear. For all of you that have seen the short bus, you know that the inside is not like your normal bus today. It is quite a bit different, and this made designing the interior a nightmare. A real problem. But it was done.
An architect drew up the plans and work was soon under way. The owner then decided on a theme. He wanted the old school bus to have a funky, hippy, Moroccan vibe. Good choice if you ask me. They then renovated the inside, added a few sofas and with some lamps and other furniture, it has become quite the bedroom. Now they probably don’t have space for some real trendy side tables. But the real funky thing about this is that sofas can be pushed together to make a double bed. Now that is cool. To add some finishing touches, a 120 V and a 12 V electric was added along with a sink and washroom. This bus can have up to twelve passengers and is a very nice ride (if I can still call it that, or maybe a “very nice live”).
In my opinion, this is a great venture, and the uniqueness of the idea and project makes it a step above the rest. It’s really mint if you ask me. Today this trend is getting more and more common with people liking the mobility but what stands out for me is the bus he used. He went for the old school, the classic 1959 Chevrolet Viking short bus. This is what makes it so mint. Live and drive up!
… cause its worth it!
