This Rosenbaurer creation, introduced in 2015, is the biggest fire truck in the world. It’s called a Buffalo Fire Truck and it’s 13m long (42.65 feet) and 4.2 meters high (13.7 feet).
The Buffalo fire truck can transport 33 tons of water, that’s almost a third more than the previous record-holder, which carried 25 tons of water. This is a powerful, big truck for 2015 fires.
The waterpump on this can pump 6,500 liters per minute and has 10 bar pressure. The truck also has a foam generator which can produce 6,000 liters per minute.
This kind of water capacity makes the truck significantly more useful in places with little or no water access. It’s also being offered as a work truck on coal mines and in oil and gas fields.
It has a V8 turbocharged 16 liter engine for 571 horsepower. It has an Allison 4700 P transmission (auto). The cab can hold 5 crew. This big fire truck has a weight of 68 tons. Still, it can go 65 km/h (40 mph).
It runs on a 6X6 Paul Heavy Mover chassis recently introduced.
