Big Studio Sleeper

Studio Sleeper

This big studio sleeper Kenworth is one of the biggest sleeper units I’ve ever seen. It looks like a house’s living room could maybe fit in there.

This giant sleeper semi has an uncertain origin, so anybody out there who knows this truck, let us know about it.

It seems to have been posted by a pinner named D Van, but it was also posted to a Russian social media website called VK around a year or so ago. Both of those are just social media where a lot of stuff gets shared, so we’re still trying to find out who owns this giant rig, and how they use it? Is it commercial? Or is it even for hire?

People have already commented on this truck and its size. Sean Lambert joked, “Does it come with it’s own intersections? Cause you’re not getting around any of the older ones without big issues. At least not in NY, NJ and most of New England.” Or maybe “didn’t joke.”

And Chris Orren Corkum commented, “Taking camping to a new level with this rig….just needs a big o boat on a trailer on the back end and off you go…lol.”

UPDATE: Thanks to Plains, Trains member Mark Hollingsworth, we now have more information on this truck. Thanks, Mark!

It was made by ARI Legacy Sleepers, back in April of 2013, for a husband-and-wife team, Larry and Sarah Hendrix. The truck has a motorcycle lift / side door on one side. The sleeper unit is a 230-inch sleeper, done by ARI. You can visit ARI Legacy Sleepers by (clicking here).
