Ultimate Sugar Free Blueberry Pomegranite Iced Smoothie

Ingredients

-5 cups of frozen blueberries

-¼ cup of organic sugar (muscovado or coconut sugar)

-¼ cup of maple syrup or agave

-1 cup pomegranate juice

-1 tablespoon of lemon juice

-1 teaspoon of lemon zest

-mint for garnishing

Procedure

1.Rinse the blueberries thoroughly and remove the stems.

2.Place the blueberries in a large bowl and coat the blueberries with sugar.

3.Mash the blueberries until it reaches your desired consistency. Potato masher may be useful for this.

4.In another bowl, combine pomegranate juice, maple syrup, lemon zest and juice. Sprinkle some salt.

5.Blend the mashed blueberries into a blender for a few minutes.

6.Add the remaining ingredients and blend for another few minutes until it reaches a smoothie texture.

7.Garnish it with mint to add some minty flavor.

8.Put ice cubes to make it perfect.

This refreshing, healthy smoothie can also be enjoyed with mashed banana and kale or spinach. It’s worth the try and experimenting with added fresh fruits or vegetables on your smoothie will add more pleasure in creating your smoothie at home.
