This big custom motorhome is the work of a company I was just reading about today called Show Hauler Motorhome Conversions.
They do sales of luxury motorhomes they’ve already built, and they also offer motorhome conversion services. They’re based out of Indiana, and it looks like they have two offices in Middlebury (visit them, click here).
From what I’ve seen of their work, they have a unique look to their vehicles. Of course, there are a lot of similarities with the other big custom coach companies, but these guys make me think there really is something to picking your RV conversion company at least partly on their own style. If you are thinking of creating an interior like this, be sure to leave some space to put all products to care for your vehicle, this includes things like generators, which can be purchased form generatorgrid and screenwash. These products mean that if you run into problems that you will be able to help yourself out and be prepared for whatever happens. This may not be something that everyone jumps on straight away, but you’ve always got the option of using a camper hire service if you don’t have enough time to renovate your motor home.
For some people, looking to buy a motorhome is a lifetime dream, so you’d think that they would make time to renovate their new home. With that being said, this may take some time.
I’ll do some detailed write-ups on a truck or two of theirs in the future, I think.
Some notable pieces of information for Show Hauler’s services: they build units with horsepower ratings between 330 and 600, customarily (1000-2050 torque). Mostly they use full auto gearboxes or ultra shift transmissions. And for fuel milage, their vehicles are usually in around the 8-10 mpg range.
If you want one of these built, though, the time frame you should allow is estimated at around 4 to 5 months.
This blue 30′ motorhome is a 6×6 all wheel drive, with all wheel steering, with 2 slides.
Now to the custom motorhome interior.
Usually the interior height is around 7 foot 9 inches. The average sleeping capacity for these motorhomes is around 6, but they can be smaller, down to 4.
The price tag: $200,000 to $350,000 for motorhomes (they also do toterhomes and garage units, which are less).
Now some pictures of the interior of this big blue motorhome (they’re high res, so view on a large screen for best viewing). Keep in mind, they build these as custom motorhome interiors, so any of these details could potentially be rearranged.
