Bigger is sometimes more interesting. In this case, big knitting.
How big are your knitting needles? Are they as big as these PVC pipes used to craft this chunky knit blanket that everyone is talking about?
The blanket was submitted by kiwiwolf314 on Reddit recently.
What do you think her wool was? Batting laid into rows (for thickness sameness).
To lay out the rows took her 5 hours. Then she then rolled them up on tubes and washed them lightly in the wash basin. The rolls air dried out doors and she would the whole thing up.
Then she made PVC knitting needles to handle the scale of the material.
The project took her “forever” but she said that in the end it was worth the effort, and people are wondering just how cozy and snuggly this knit blanket must be.
