This luxury yacht design is by designer Ben Walsh (currently at the Advanced Design studio of GM in the United Kingdom), and it was designed while Walsh looked at the styling of the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu. Following that hypercar, this luxury yacht design is known as the “Sang Bleu.”
It’s a 30-foot yacht design based on carbon fiber / aluminum construction for the exterior. Not only is the Bugatti yacht a modern design, it is also a reference to past times at Bugatti.
The yacht hearkens back to the 1920’s, when Bugatti founder Ettore Bugatti considered the idea of buliding exclusive, high-powered motor-powered boats.
Bugattis idea was for the boat to carry their passengers across the Atlantic ocean in speed and comfort.
The Bugatti ocean-crossing yacht idea never came to fruition, and one might expect that boat would have been longer than this 30-foot powerboat, but this Walsh design is getting a lot of attention for its lines.
